Description

UNINET is an extensive system to the supervision and control of telecontrol systems different type and size. It consists of a telecontrol station and of virtually arbitrary lots of telecontrol substations. The communication between the control system and the substations can take place via analog modems, dedicated-line-modems, radio-modems or via bundle-radio.
The control system consists of one or several personal computers, which are connected over a local network. The control system software UNINET-Control works on each of these computers. With use of several computers, UNINET-Control can be configured according to task of the respective users as telecontrol station or for the realization of specialized jobs for pure data-evaluation-functionality, for example to the bill-preparation or order processing. For the printing of diagrams or forms, all calculators have access on a common network-printer.
The telecontrol station (main computer) of a second computer (slave computer) can be overseen constantly for reasons of the fault-tolerance. A breakdown of the main computer is immediately recognized in this configuration and his full functionality is taken on by the slave computer. Since all received data of the substations are always logged on main - and slave computers parallel, the breakdown of a computer leads in no case to a data-loss. In the case of a blackout in the control station, all business-necessary functions are gotten by an interruption-free power supply (USV) up.
The exact synchronization of the time of the system, incl. the switch from summer - and winter time, is warranted by a integrated radio-clock (DCF77-receiver).
As a displaced control system or to the purpose of the remote maintenance of the system, another computer can be connected over the telephone-network. To the maintenance and supervision of the telecontrol substations the use of notebooks as mobile control system is possible.
For the telecontrol substations three stages of expansion are availible: UNINET-MINI, -MIDI and -MAXI. These primarily differ in the type and number of the availible in - and outputs (see table below). Different configuration-versions are available again per substation-type. The station UNINET-MAXI can be extended to overall 256 signals by combination of up to eight assembly groups. All substations have a LCD-display for displaying the current operating status of the station and the current state of all logged signals.
