FAMO-CONV - The ASCII-Fax Converter
Sending ASCII-Texts as Fax

FAMO-CONV - The ASCII-FAX-CONVERTER (24V= IN , 220V ~ OUT)

Description

ASCII-Fax-Converter
The FAMO-CONV device is a modem with a FAX-converter, which prepares ASCII-texts in a way, that they can be changed in a FAX-message and can be sent afterwards. The conversion of the ASCII-characters into the necessary pixel-graphics does the FAMO-CONV device automatically. The time-consuming conversion trough a corresponding computer program is not applicable. The feeding of the ASCII texts and the sending of the Fax message takes place via AT-Hayes commands. The device is suitable for the connection to the telephone network, to private branch exchanges or to private lines. The telephone-connection can be looped through so that the telephone can always be used if the FAMO-CONV transfers no data. A PC can be connected over a V.24/V.28-interface. For the communication of the device with a PC, a communication program is ready. With a TAE-6N-Plug a connection is established to the telephone network. A LCD - or LED-display shows the function and the operating-states of the modem to the user. The modem works after the recommendations BELL 103, BELL 212A, V.21, V.22, V.22bis, V.42 and V.42bis in the data transfer modus. The SendFAX-function is executed after CCITT V.27.
As variation, there is the device with AT-Hayes modem-function to the data-transfer furthermore. It is controlled with AT-Hayes-compatible commands and features a command - and a data-mode to the data-transfer as well as to the sending of fax-messages.
